Just a change in the acronym

CompTIA’s Cybersecurity Analyst is changing from CSA+ to CySA+

Due to another organisation sharing the acronym CSA, CompTIA has taken the step to change their CSA+ cybersecurity certification acronym to CySA+.
The change over of acronyms may take time so please bear with us while we update all our systems with the new name. You may therefore find a mix of both on our website and printed material for a period of time. The acronym will be changed on the exams at Pearson VUE and CertMetrics by April 16, 2018 tentatively.

Certification Overview

The CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) examination is an intermediate-level credential for cybersecurity professionals. The exam will certify that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to:

• Perform data analysis and interpret the results to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to an organisation
• Configure and use threat detection tools
• Secure and protect applications and systems within an organization

The behavioural analytics skills covered by the CompTIA CySA+ certification identify and combat malware and advanced persistent threats (APTs), resulting in better threat visibility across a broad attack surface by focusing on network behaviour, including an organization’s interior network.
