Personalise Sales documents
My colleague Gary is on the sales team, which means he is in constant need of writing up new training tenders. Every time a new tender came around he had to write a tender from scratch. But now, with the help of new personalised document template, the sales team can create their own personalised templates using CRM. CRM allows the creation of Sales Proposals, Opportunity and Tender templates. These allow the team to reply to customers faster with organised documents in no time at all.
With CRM 2016 it is easier than ever to collaborate and store documents across CRM, SharePoint, One Drive for business and office 365 groups. You can even seamlessly access documents from mobile devices with the CRM App. You can also open documents on different devices like an iPad or Windows phone for example. You can also open Word files on iPad and PowerPoint on Windows phone.
Enhanced Excel Experience
Before Excel templates were available in CRM 2016, sales or marketing people would have to create Excel sheets in order to do any analysis such as last year vs current year sales and sprawl the excel sheet with all other files we have. And when we need to do such analysis again, they would need to find the Excel file they used before and recreate a new file from that.
But with enhanced Excel support to Dynamics CRM 2016 you can create new Excel templates. For example, Sales Pipeline management, you can have a template with customer info across the board. In particularly, you could calculate sales commissions based on won opportunity, or you can manage your sales forecast using warm lead or lost opportunity.
One important thing I would like to discuss here is when we design excel templates, we need to keep all conditions in mind. This is because sometimes we just calculate on current data, and it works, but maybe in future the same formula with different data value like zero will not work. So make sure to add conditions in template to predict all conditions.
CRM App for Outlook
With CRM 2016 you can use CRM app for Outlook to track email from within Outlook or you can add contacts from within the email. You can also create new records to track email on browser on PC or Mac and Mobile phone browser.
With CRM 2016 update 1 and sp1 user will see guided help based on the role. For example, sales executive will see guided help for sales related activities and learn new features based on guided task and eBook.
